UNICAL Finalists Warned to Portray Good Character

The university of Calabar ( UNICAL) final year students have been warned by the management of the school to always portray good character, decency and learning impacted on them, which the institution is known for.

This came as a result of constant indulgence of the final year students of the school driving recklessly under the influence of alcohol and drugs in the school environment and displaying some odd colours likely to belong to secret cults as a way of celebrating their graduation from the university.

The school management through a memo signed by the Register of the institution, Mr Gabriel Egbe warned and reminded all students and staff of the institution on the ban of such acts and will not fail to punish anyone involving in such dangerous acts.

Such dangerous and reckless acts according to the management, can endanger other students and the university community at large and dose not portray the institution in a good light.

The management instructed the Chief Security Officer of the institution to strictly carry out the arrest of any offender of the ban, and impound any vehicle exceeding 40 kilometers per hour while driving on the school environment.
