Umuada Abia visit Mrs Ikpeazu

The Umuada Abia (Abia Daughters), an umbrella body that holds and brings together all Abia women of origin with the vision to train and give women equal opportunity  all aspects of life have paid a courtesy visit to the wife of Abia State Governor Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu in her office at Government House Umuahia.
The leader of the group, Lady Joy Dimanochie said that they came to identify with the efforts and the achievements of the wife of the Governor since her assumption of office as the first lady of the state.

According to her, “while we are here to assure you of our support and loyalty, we also solicits your support to achieve the following in our forthcoming inaugural ceremony slated to hold in November 2018 “.

They are empowerment items to be handed to indigent members, vehicle to coordinate the activities of our members in various local government and and office space for administrative purposes.

Again, we request that our members be carried along in the activities of your office.

Addressing the group, the wife of the Governor Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu said that she will support their vision and objectives so long as its embedded in peace and to enhance women development.

According to her, “as we strive daily to develop the state and to meet the needs of our people, what we need is peace without which we cannot succeed, I am also open to advice because one person cannot carry the burden of leadership alone”.

“it will also interest you to know that this office has been in forefront of providing skills acquisition and empowerment of indigent women and youths, providing maternal health care for women and children, education of the girl child, campaign for genotype identification and building houses for indigent people and I know with your support we can do more “. The Governor’s wife revealed.
