The Mayor, Ukwa-East Local Government Area (LGA), Dame Ngozi Nwagbara has congratulated Governor Alex Otti (OFR) on Friday’s judgment of the Supreme Court which affirmed him as the winner of the March 2023 governorship election in Abia state.
The Supreme Court earlier on Friday affirmed the election of Dr. Otti, which was earlier upheld by the tribunal and Appeal Court in the state.
Dame Nwagbara, in a congratulatory message from her Media Office, said the ruling by the apex court was a further affirmation that Gov. Otti and the Labour Party (LP) have the overwhelming support of Abia residents as reflected in the governorship election in 2023.
“On behalf of my family and the good people of Ukwa-East LGA, I joined, I join millions of our supporters to congratulate our amiable governor, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti on his well-deserved Supreme Court victory.
The Council boss who urged the people of Ukwa-East LGA to continue to support Otti-led administration, expressed hope that the Abia Governor would not fail Abians but take Abia to an enviable height among comity of states.
