The Minority Whip/member representing Arochukwu State Constituency Abia House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Mike Ukoha, has reiterated his commitment towards empowering his constituents.
Ukoha disclosed this when he paid a visit to 19 young girls from Ututu community, who are learning hairstyling, pedicure and manicure in Aba under his full sponsorship.
In his interactive session with them recently, Hon. Ukoha, who was visibly happy with the responses of some of them, explained that his desire to train youths, especially young girls in various skills, motivated him to chose them for training, in order to acquire skills for future independent.
He reiterated his willingness to ensure that the young girls are equipped financially, immediately after their formal training, hinting that Aba as a commercial city, will be beneficial to them after their freedom and urged them to be serious in their stages of learning.
In her speech, their trainer, Mrs. Helen Adaku Chinaemerem, averred that the girls have been learning faster and are also committed in what they do.
She thanked the Lawmaker for choosing her as an indigene of Ututu community, to train them, saying that she always see the trainees as her own sisters, hence a good working relationship and understanding.
In their saperate speech, Miss Favour Amarachi Fidelis and Miss Peace Ikeogu, thanked Hon. Ukoha, for the wonderful opportunity provided for them to learn and acquire skills.
They all promised to always improve on their assignments on daily basis while full of expectation that the future is bright for them.
