Ukasanya, Ohajuruka, Ofoegbu, Others, pay last respect to Lady Aguocha

 

The remains of late Lady Clarice Nwaoroni Aguocha,has been laid to rest in her husband’s compound at Okaiuga Nkwoegwu, Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia state.

The event which witnessed the presence of the Deputy Governor of Abia State,Sir Ude Oko Chukwu,also had in attendance political stalwarts of PDP and APC in the state,as well as other top government functionaries.

 

Addressing the press,an Elder statesman,Chief Tony Ukasanya, eulogized the unique qualities of late lady Aguocha, saying she lived a good life.

According to him, her contributions to the development of the Ohuhu community,speaks volume, describing her as a community builder and women mobilizer, whose contributions and growth to the Ohuhu land had helped in putting the Ohuhu community on the pedestrian of success.


Revealing,Rt Hon Stanley Ohajuruka,an APC party chieftain,said he came to commiserate with his friend,Sir Aguocha Obi Aguocha,the first son of the deceased, over the demise of his mother,who he decribed as a woman of virtue,God fearing and a woman of impeccable character.

According to Ohajuruka, Lady Aguocha lived a life worthy of emulation,as she was generous and kind to all, urging the children to uphold the legacies of their late parents,as well as eschew any form of rancour and acrimony that is threatening to the peaceful coexistence of their family, stressing on the need for the children to build on the legacies left behind by their parents.

For Hon. Sir Dickson Nwosu, the former chairman,Umuahia North LGA, described Lady Aguocha as a quintessential mother, whose immense contributions to the development of the Ohuhu land, had brought tremendous changes to the area, attributing the high turn out at the burial ceremony to her tireless efforts in repositioning the Ohuhu land.

Sir Nwosu,while bidding Lady Aguocha farewell,stated that the Ohuhu community would never forget her, particularly the women who she led for several years.

However, the Son inlaw and Abia Commissioner for Finance,Dr Aham Uko,thanked God for a life well spent, revealing that Lady Aguocha lived a fulfilled life as a teacher, counselor and a torch bearer for Christ,adding that he is happy that the mother inlaw ran her race well and has gone to be with the Lord.

 

Dr Uko stated that he would miss so many virtues in her,stressing that her discipline and good character has had a great influence on him, praying God to grant her eternal rest,and the family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss, while appreciating the State Government for identifying with him at his moment of grief.

Meanwhile, the chairman Ohuhu Council of Traditional Rulers,Eze Nnamdi Ofoegbu, praised the sterling qualities of Lady Aguocha, urging the children to continue on the legacies left behind by their parents.

Earlier, the Anglican Bishop of Umuahia diocese, Rt Rev, Geoffrey Ibeabuchi, enjoined all to hold firm to God,as He has the final say in the life of every mortal and described lady Aguocha as a worthy Christian,whose life was a challenge to all through her service of love to God and man, praying God to grant her rest.

Lady Clarice who died at 86 years, survived by six children, numerous grand children and great grand children
