UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: Liverpool Qualify For Final

Liverpool are through to the final of the UEFA Champions League after they battered Barcelona 4-0 at the Anfield in the second leg of their semi-final encounter.
The Reds came into the game three goals down as they lost the first leg played in Nou Camp 0-3.
Tonight, Anfield was too hot for Barcelona to stand the heat. The talismanic Messi lost his magic wand somewhere on the street of England as the Spanish champions had a lackluster performance. They would have qualified had they scored a lone goal. But, their performance was so shambolic that they could not score a single goal against a team they thrashed 3-0 a week ago.
Divock Origi opened scoring for the home side on the 7th minutes.
After the break, Liverpool realized it was a matter of 45 minutes. They must score three more goals or they will be kicked out of the Champions League. They took the bull by the horn and take the game to their visitors.
Substitute, Georginio Wijnaldum, scored twice in a space of 122 seconds to put the scoreline 3-3 on aggregate.
At this point, Barcelona was rattled. Trent Alexander-Arnold’s corner on the 79th minute caught the Barcelona defense napping and Divock Origi was on hand to score the winning goal.
Anfield quaked with roars from the fans as the final whistle was blown by the referee.
Mohamed Salah, who was donning a t-shirt with the inscription, ‘Never Give Up’ joined the team to sing the Liverpool anthem with their fans.
Liverpool will now meet the winner between Ajax and Tottenham on June 1 in Madrid.
