UCCIMA rolls out support in fight against Covid 19

 

In a bid to compliment the efforts of the Abia state Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu in containing the covid-19 global pandemic in the state, the Umuahia Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (UCCIMA), has directed her members to as a matter of urgency, provide water and soap for handwashing with sanitizers in all their premises.

The President,Chief Chidi Nkem Aruoma,in a statement issued to National Ambassador this morning, said UCCIMA members, as well as other Abians, should join in the fight against the deadly coronavirus, by observing a regular washing of hands, wearing of face mask and maintaining social distancing.

Chief Aruoma as well, pointed out that Abians should follow strictly government stay at home order so that the state can be free from the pandemic.

He, however, informed Abians that the UCCIMA office will be closed to business from 1st April to 27th April 2020, in compliance to the lockdown directive of the state government.

While urging Abians not to relent in prayers for the State and Nation, assured that UCCIMA would do it’s bid in ensuring businesses that do not fall under essential goods and services are put under lock.
