UCCIMA President Felicitates Women on International Women’s Day

 

The President of the Umuahia Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (UCCIMA), Dr. Catherine Igbokwe, has felicitated with women across Nigeria and the world as they mark the annual International Women’s Day.

 

 

In a statement made available to newsmen, Dr. Igbokwe praised women for their resilience, strength, and invaluable contributions to society, particularly in the areas of business, entrepreneurship, family life, and community development.

 

 

She noted that women continue to play critical roles in driving economic growth and innovation, despite the many challenges they face in different sectors of society.

 

 

According to her, the celebration of International Women’s Day serves as a reminder of the need to continually promote gender equality, empower women economically, and create opportunities that enable them to thrive in business and leadership.

 

 

Dr. Igbokwe further commended women entrepreneurs in Abia State and across the country for their determination and commitment to building sustainable enterprises that contribute to job creation and economic development.

The UCCIMA President also encouraged women to remain focused, support one another, and continue to break barriers in various fields.

 

 

She reaffirmed the commitment of the Umuahia Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture to promoting inclusive economic growth and supporting initiatives that empower women in business.

 

 

Dr. Igbokwe further wished women a happy International Women’s Day and called for sustained efforts towards building a more equitable and prosperous society for all.
