TREM Tackles Youth Substance Abuse with Holiday Programmec

 

In a bid to combat the growing menace of substance abuse among youths, The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM) is organizing a Next Gen holiday programme tagged “Dangers of Drugs/Substance Abuse.”

Scheduled to hold on Friday, April 4, 2025, at 4 pm, the event will take place at the Church Auditorium, 2 Uwalaka Street/Ossah Road, Umuahia. According to Rev (Prof) Ugochukwu Orgally, Zonal Pastor, South-East Zone 11 of the Church, the programme aims to expose youths to the dangers of substance abuse and instill godly values.

DCN, Ngwuta Patrick, Deputy Commander (Training and Operations), National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Abia State Command, will serve as the guest speaker.

Rev Orgally emphasized the devastating impact of substance abuse on young lives, stating that it has destroyed the future of many. He noted that the programme is a necessary intervention to address this pressing issue.
