TIMAAS, not a place for hoodlums- Ikokwu speaks,as Gov Ikpeazu honours staff

 

The General Manager, of Traffic and Indiscipline Management Agency of Abia State (TIMAAS), Bright Chinedu Ikokwu, has disabuse the minds of Abians who think TIMAAS is a place for hoodlums, stating that it is a gazetted agency enacted by law.

Ikokwu who made this known while fielding questions from journalists in Umuahia, said the agency is a reputable one with the responsibility of controlling and maintaining traffic,as well as instilling discipline on road users and not any form of a centre for hoodlums, adding that this was brought to bare by the recent award given to one of his staff, Uche Ugochi Confidence.

According to him, the award is an eye opener and a signal to every other person, including road users, that the governor of the state,Dr Okezie Ikpeazu is interested in the activities of TIMAAS and he recognizes their efforts in the state.

While calling on other staff of the Agency to emulate Confidence by being up and doing in their duties, commended Confidence for her hardwork and exemplary qualities.

However, the TIMAAS boss,praised the Governor of the state,for his exceptional leadership style which has degenerated into changes that has put Abia on the pedestrian of development.

Also speaking,the award recipient,Uche Ugochi Confidence, expressed joy over the honour done her, disclosing that her hardwork, commitment, as well as her neatness,fetched her the award, urging her colleagues to toe in that direction,so that they too could be honoured some day.

She thanked the Governor of the state for finding her worthy to be honoured alongside other Covid 19 frontline officers, promising to give back her best.
