THREE-STOREY BUILDING COLLAPSES IN LAGOS ISLAND, PUPILS TRAPPED

A three-storey building in ita Faji area of Lagos Island, has collapsed. The building which doubles as residence and private Primary School crumbled Wednesday morning, March 13, trapping all and sundry within the building.

Rescue efforts are ongoing as noises from despondent souls, especially school children, rent the air. The last floor houses the private school while the rest is occupied by commercial tenants. As at the time of filing this report no fewer than 12 pupils have been rescued from the rumble. The rescue mission is still ongoing as firemen and other emergency officials huddle to save as many lives as possible.
