Abia State contingent to the fifth National Youth Games have arrived Ilorin the capital of Kwara State, where the competition will be holding. The competition, which is for Under 15 athletes will commence tomorrow.
In a radio interview monitored by Sporting Ambassador, the Abia State Director of Sports, Isaac O. Isaac, confirmed the arrival of Team Abia despite the difficulties they encountered on their way.
The contingent is made up of 104 athletes and 46 officials.
Mr. Isaac thanked the governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu for graciously approving funds for the contingent and also promised that the athletes he took to Ilorin will represent Abia State very well.
