SWAN, ABA BRANCH TO PARTNER WITH ABIA FIRST LADY

Wife of Abia Governor Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu(C) with Members of SWAN During A Courtesy Visit Recently. 

The Society of Women Accountants of Nigeria ( SWAN ) Aba Chapter, has appreciated the Wife of Abia Governor, Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu with a “self portrait” for her support to the association since inauguration in 2020.

The association in a courtesy visit led by its President, Lady Ify Nwachukwu, stated that they came to show solidarity and appreciation to the Governor’s wife for her support to the association aims and objectives.

Lady Nwachukwu, said that it is an interesting thing to know that Deaconess Nkechi Ikpeazu has touched lives in different fora as Abia First Lady and her achievements in women, youth empowerment, providing shelter for the vulnerable and taking a bold step by building facilities both in Aba and Umuahia to eradicate sickle cell disease in the country speak volume of his passion for the vulnerable and the downtrodden in the society.

In view of this, the association, which is a female branch of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria(ICAN) Aba branch recognises the significant impact the Governor’s wife has made in Abia as the first Lady of the state.

Receiving the association in her Government House Office in Umuahia, Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu said that there are areas of collaboration with Swan since their objectives are to help the less privileges in the society, the motherless homes and schools for the deaf and dumb.

She encouraged the association to remain steadfast in pursuit of their aims and objectives and to make the society a better place for all.
