Support our local and quality brands, patronize TOMAG bakery Nsirimo, Mayor Obike tells the people of Umuahia South
The Mayor of Umuahia South Local Government Area, Mr Ejikeme Obike has assured that his administration will continue to prioritize and improve the business sector in the council area through creating a friendly environment for massive investments.
Speaking while performing the commissioning ceremony of The TOMAG bakery Nsirimo, bakers of TOMAG bread and an arms of the TOMAG Integrated Group, the Mayor who was represented by his Deputy, Mr Nwabueze Oledingwa, assured that the Local Government will continue to contribute its quota and support the investments and others by making their roads motorable.
He commended the Director of TOMAG Group, Dr Callystus Agomuo for contributing effectively towards the development of the area through his investments such as the TOMAG International Academy, TOMAG Paint, TOMAG Farm, TOMAG Table water and now TOMAG bakery.
The Mayor called on the people of the area to patronize TOMAG bakery Nsirimo as a way of supporting our local and quality brands.
Contributing, the Special Guest of Honour at the event and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Environment, Prof. Ijeoma Iheukwumere while reiterating the Governor’s commitment to giving attention to all parts of the state, assured Nsirimo people that the erosion challenges in the area will be looked into and lauded Dr Agomuo for embracing the call by Government for Abians to come home and invest, create jobs for the teaming unemployed and help in the rapid transformation of the state and urge others to emulate him.
In his remarks, the Chairman on the occasion and President General Nsirimo Autonomous Community, Deacon Ambrose Nwagboso who described the event as another harvest of shared prosperity by one of their sons, noted that the various investments by Dr Callystus Agomuo in the community has not only helped in bringing development and some of the needs of the people closer to them but has also provided job opportunities and reduced the cost of such commudities and services, urging him not to relent.
In an address, the Director, TOMAG Integrated Group, Dr Callystus Agomuo described the bakery as not just an investment or business for him, but a dream come true as he has been able to bring another of such essential goods and services closer to his people who have over the years found it difficult to get them within the locality and assured of serving the best of quality bread, paint, table water, educational services and farm produce from his investments to the people at affordable rate.
He revealed that it has over the years been his desire to contribute to provision of job opportunities for his people and ameliorating their suffering, and thanked God that he has been able to start doing that through these investments.
Dr. Agomuo appealed to the state government to look into the bad road network and flood challenges facing the community to make life more meaningful for the dwellers and arrest the rate of rural urban migration.
In their separate reactions, the traditional ruler of Ezu na Erim autonomous community, Nsirimo, Eze Adolphus Ugwunna , his counterpart of Umumba autonomous community, Nsirimo, Eze Godwill Ogbonna and a former President General of Nsirimo, Chief Ikechukwu Ibeku while appreciating Dr Agomuo for not just coming to the state to invest but coming into their community assured of supporting him in all ways possible and pleaded with government to support those who have responded to the clarion call of coming to the state to invest by providing them with incentives and support infrastructure to thrive.
Highlight of the event were display by students of TOMAG International Academy and inspection of the TOMAG brand of goods by the guests.
