The 2023 PDP Presidential Aspirant and former Governor of Anambra State, Dr Peter Obi,has led his campaign train to Abia State, calling on governments to stop sharing the commonwealth of the nation, rather plough it into productive ventures for the good of the nation.

He said the nation is currently owing between $135b to $140b with no viable investment to show for it.

Speaking during his visit to the People’s Democratic Party in Abia State, ahead of the party’s presidential primary election, Peter Obi said he knows the problem of the nation and he can solve it perfectly if given only four years as a president.

He said alot of resources are being wasted on daily basis in Nigeria, with a fast collapsing economy, adding that the situation is going to get worst,if Nigerians do not rise up and change its leaders.

“Today, over 30% of our population are unemployed, with over 98m people living under poverty. Why won’t the security situation be threatened.

“You cannot have millions of people who are jobless and cannot boast of the next meal and cry of insecurity. Crime will increase because people are jobless and will look for ways to survive.

He said he would not disappoint Nigerians,as his records are there to show.According to him,as a governor, he made investments for Anambra state worth over $89m, he left $50m in the bank for them, he never owed salaries, contractors or suppliers and as a matter of fact, he made Anambra viable.

“Apart from being the governor of Anambra state, i have chaired companies and businesses and none collapsed”.

He said an array of fantastic aspirants have purchased their forms under the PDP platform, but the best amongst all is Peter Obi, urging delegates not to make mistakes.

“Obi has acquired knowledge from the four corners of the globe. He is a man of unquestionable character, his wealth can be accounted for.He didn’t just come up today,he has been the chairman of Banks, chairman of over eleven companies in Nigeria.

“As a Governor of Anambra,he performed excellently well, moving Anambra state from the twenty something position to the first position in Education.

“Indeed he has no match, his humility his second to none, even with his position.Abia should not make any mistake as regards their choice”,he said.
