Christians have been
called upon to always pray for ministers of the gospel and those in positions of authority, for success.
The Secretary to the state Government, prof Kenneth Kalu who made the call during a special *Send-off Service* held in honour of a Presbyterian, Rt. Rev. Johnson Kalu, at the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Emmanuel Mega Parish,Umuahia, maintained that both spiritual and political leadership require divine guidance and support.
Professor Kalu noted that while ministers of the gospel play crucial role in shaping moral values and building strong societies, public office holders work to advance good governance and hence emphasized the need for consistent prayers for both, as their responsibilities greatly affect the lives of citizens.
He congratulated Rev. Johnson kalu on a successful and memorable tenure and wished him God’s continued grace in his service to God and humanity
Preaching on the topic: *“In the Midst of Everything, Give Thanks to God” A guest preacher, Rev. Mrs. Ulari Ogbonna, emphasized the importance of thanksgiving regardless of life’s challenges.
She urged Christians to cultivate a heart of gratitude and always support ministers of the gospel for spiritual upliftment
Speaking earlier, Rev. Johnson Kalu, thanked the Almighty God for Five years of faithfulness and all that came to celebrate with him
The service was attended by the SA to the Governor on due process and public procurement, Dr. Oluebube Chukwu, members of the clergy,and parishioners .
