SSG Tasks Arochukwu LGA Officials on Strengthened Partnership for Public Development

The Secretary to the Abia State Government (SSG), Professor Kenneth Kalu, has urged principal officers of Arochukwu Local Government Area to position themselves as active partners in public development and contributors to the achievements of the present administration.

Prof. Kalu made the call during a working visit to the Arochukwu LGA Council Headquarters, where he underscored the significance of their roles as vital organs of government. He explained that the visit was aimed at enhancing interaction and deepening collaboration between the state and local governments for more effective service delivery.

He encouraged the officers to remain appreciative of the opportunity to serve under the transformational leadership of Governor Alex Otti, whose administration, he said, is driving far-reaching reforms across all sectors of the state.

The SSG further urged them to continue making sacrifices for the collective good of the people, assuring them of the government’s consistent support as they carry out their responsibilities.

In his response, the Mayor of Arochukwu LGA, Engr. Dr. Okereke Eze Aru, reaffirmed the council’s commitment to working closely with the state government. He commended Governor Otti for the developmental strides being witnessed across Abia.

The visit also included strategic discussions on strengthening the party’s structure within the LGA.

Present at the meeting were the Deputy Mayor, Hon. Mrs. Ngozi Nwankwo; Head of Service, Elder Mrs. Ebere; LGA Secretary, Hon. Okerie Chinedu Samuel; Leader of the House, Hon. Kelvin Ile; and councillors.
