The Secretary to the
State Government (SSG), Dr. Emmanuel Meribole, has assured of his readiness to work not only for Nkata people but Abians.
Dr. Meribole who stated this when a delegation of the labour party Nkata paid him a courtesy visit to his office described the Governor as a visionary and responsive leader who listens attentively to the yearnings of the people.
Dr Meribole noted that the administration has remained committed to delivering meaningful development across key sectors of the state and identified
education as one of the Governor’s priority areas.
He emphasized that significant attention and resources have been directed toward improving educational infrastructure and standards adding that investment in education remains central to the administration’s broader vision for sustainable growth and human capital development.
The SSG expressed appreciation for the assurances and support pledged by the Nkata community stressing that his appointment as Secretary to the State Government is not solely for the benefit of the Nkata people.
He pledged not to betray the confidence reposed in him and reaffirmed his commitment to working in the interest of all citizens to advance the state’s development agenda.
Earlier in his speech, the leader Labour Party Nkata Stakeholders, Chief Chidike Ibelegbu said that the essence of their visit was to congratulate Dr Emmanuel Meribole on his appointment as secretary to the state government as well as appreciate the Governor, Dr Alex Otti for considering the Nkata people in the scheme of things.
He also commended His Excellency for the renovation of Nkata primary and secondary schools and road rehabilitation while assuring Dr Alex of his people ‘s 100% vote during the upcoming general election.
