SSG Charged Abia Civil Servants to be Proactive

The Secretary to Abia State Government, Prof Kenneth Kalu has called on civil servants in the state to be dedicated and committed in their duties.

 

Prof Kenneth Kalu who made the call when he received the executive members of the SSG,’s office staff Welfare Association who paid him a courtesy call in his office, urged them to take their duty seriously so as to reciprocate the kind gesture of the present administration in reforming the civil service system in the state.

The SSG pointed out that the present administration is fully committed to the task of building a new Abia for the benefit of all, stressing that Government will not tolerate truancy and inefficiency and advised them to put in their best for effective and efficient service delivery.

The Chief Scribe who noted that the importance and roles of the civil servants cannot be over-emphasized, assured them of a positive consideration to their requests.

 

Speaking earlier, the Chairman of Staff Welfare scheme, office of the SSG, Mr Onyekachi Wachukwu, said that the essence of their visit was to thank the government for their efforts in sanitizing Abia workforce as well as pledge their unalloyed support to the present Administration, under the able leadership of Governor Alex Otti.

Mr. Wachukwu, who used the opportunity to enumerate some of their challenges to include, lack of conducive accommodation, Vehicle for official assignment, among others appealed that their requests will be given attention and prayed for God’s guidance and preservation for the SSG as he carries out his onerous duty as the chief scribe of the State.
