Sir Oko Chukwu, Ohafia LG Deputy Mayor shows solidarity as Elder Ndukwe bids eternal farewell to mum

It was a carnival of who is who as the former Transition Committee Chairman of Ohafia Local Government Area, Elder Chief James Orji Ndukwe buried his mother Late Deaconess Grace Orji Ndukwe in grand style at his country home Ukwa Nkporo in Ohafia LGA of Abia State.


Speaking during the funeral service organized by the Assemblies of God Church, Nkporo in honour of the deceased at Ukwa Nkporo community school, Isioba ukwa Nkporo, The Rev Ndubuisi Kanu admonished everyone to take a wise decision to do good and shun evil that man shall one day give account of their deeds on earth before the Lord Almighty.

According to the cleric, Late Madam Grace Ndukwe, had lived a life worthy of emulation, as testified by the children, friends, church, and community that she was a devout child of God who loved God and followed the path laid by our Lord Jesus Christ through their wonderful written and well packaged tributes.

He therefore charged the children and grand children to emulate the good deeds of their mother and grandmother, adding that it pays to serve Jesus in Spirit and in truth.

The Assemblies of God clergy however, noted that the best decision one can make while living is the decision of accepting Jesus as his Lord and personal saviour and walk in His ways faithfully.

Rev Onwuka Charged the families of Ndukwe and the people of Ukwa Nkporo to take solace in the word of God that those who died in Christ Jesus shall some day rise to live eternal life.

In their condolence message, the immediate past Deputy Governor of Abia State, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu and Deputy Mayor, Ohafia LGA, Mr. Mpka Oju Mkpa described late Deaconess Grace Orji Ndukwe as a very good woman that took care of her children and others.


They urged the children of the decreased to emulate the sterling qualities of their late mother and prayed God to grant her soul eternal rest.

Responding on behalf of the family, one of the sons of the decreased, Elder Chief James Orji Ndukwe who described his late mother as a strong woman great counselor, adviser and a God fearing mother who not only contributed immensely to the progress of her children but all that came in contact with her.

Elder Chief Ndukwe assured that they would uphold the legacy their late mother left behind and thanked all that left their busy schedule to identify with them.
