‘Shelter is one of the cardinal point of this administration’ Gov. Ikpeazu’s wife said

Mrs. Ikpeazu cutting tape in one of the houses she built for indigent women in Obingwa LGA recently. 

The wife of Abia State Governor Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu, has built and handed over a 2, bedroom apartment each to Mrs. Gladys Nwogu, from Umuobiakwa and Mrs. Helen Ejimadu, from Umueke Etiti in Ohanze Community both who were widows in Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State.

At the commissioning, the Governor’s wife said that shelter is one of the primary needs of human and should be made available by those who have the means to ameliorate the sufferings of mankind.

Mrs. Ikpeazu, revealed that one of the cardinal policies of this administration headed by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, is the interest he has in providing affordable and low cost housing for all Abians.

She uses the opportunity to call on all well to do persons to work for the progress of others.

Speaking with National Ambassador, Barrister Emeka Enwereji, a philanthropist who complemented the efforts of the wife of the Governor by building one of the house for Mrs. Helen Ejimadu, said he learnt such benevolent from the wife of Abia Governor.

According to him, “when I visited the shanty where Mrs. Ejimadu and her children lived, I felt for her and tasked myself that the only way to complement what the Governor’s wife had been doing through her pet projects is to assist in this area of providing shelter and today we give God the glory because it’s a reality “.

However, the beneficiaries, Mrs Ejimadu and Mrs. Nwogu could not hide their joy as they kept dancing and pouring encomiums to the Governor and his wife.
