Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Mrs. Priscilla Otti Attends 2023 Imo Women August Conference

The wife of the President, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has lauded the women of Imo State for turning this year’s women’s August conference into a training and empowerment ground for women in the state.

Senator Oluremi who attended the conference in the company of the wife of Abia Governor Mrs. Priscilla Otti said that this year 2023, August conference in Imo state speaks volumes of what women can achieve when they work together and support each other.

She noted that the theme of the conference ‘ Women supporting each other, making a difference’ is germain to the present realities in the country today.

She assures the residents of Imo state of the federal government’s commitment towards making Nigeria great again.

Senator Oluremi advised every state and tribe to borrow a leaf from what Igbo women are achieving with August conferences.

According to her, “There is no doubt the role women played in the past in shaping Nigeria of today, therefore the collective voice of women in Nigeria must be heard only when we support each other” she said.

However, she commended Governor Hope Uzodinma and his wife for making a difference in Imo state.

She urged the people of Imo to support their reelection.

In her address, the wife of Imo state Governor, Barrister Chioma Uzodinma said that women are in a better position to ensure peace and lead the way for future generations.

Barrister Uzodinma said that this is evident in the appointments the Governor had made by appointing women to key positions in his administration.

She expressed that Imo women have equally shown their support and solidarity to the Governor and as the wife of the governor, she will continue to push for more inclusion of women to change the narrative in Imo state.

However, “We must stand with our husbands, close ranks together and make a difference,” she said.
