Sen. Remi Tinubu, Gov. Otti preach love and unity, As Akwa Ibom D.Gov’s daughter weds.

The wife of the President, Senator Remi Tinubu, has called on Nigerians to join hands together in love and cherish the nation’s diversity.

Speaking at the International Worship Center , Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, during the solemnization of holy matrimony between the daughter of the State Deputy Governor, Miss Blessing Eyakenyi and Mr. Olumuyiwa Adewumi, the wife of the President represented by the National Coordinator/Chief Executive Officer of New Partnership for Africa’s Development, NEPAD Nigeria,

Princess Gloria Akobundu, observed that the ceremony attracted personalities drawn from all the geopolitical zones of Nigeria, and maintained that if all the citizens and the clerics join hands together in prayer that the nation will be a better place for all.

She therefore enjoined all to use the marriage ceremony as a point of contact to promote peace, unity and love,she further advice the younger generation to love and cherish Nigeria.

While congratulating the newly wedded, their parents and Akwa Ibom state, Sen. Tinubu prayed that God’s blessings will overshadow and envelope the marriage.

The wife of the President who also observed the atmosphere of understanding, forgiveness, caring, patience, quality and uniqueness that the state portrays, enjoined the new couple to embrace such traits in their new home.

Also speaking, the Akwa Ibom state governor, Pastor Umo Eno, called for cooperation among all the religious and ethnic groups in the country to get Nigeria back, through supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and also consistently praying for the leadership of the country.

“To rule a country as diverse as Nigeria takes the grace of God and so we owe the President our prayers and we owe him our ideas and contributions”, Pastor Eno advised.

Also in a brief speech, the Abia state governor, Dr. Alex Otti who was represented by his deputy, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu tasked the newly wedded couple to always work in harmony and live in positive peace since they have been joined together as husband and wife.

In his sermon captioned, “Respect for husband and wife” , with text drawn from the Bible book of Ephesians chapter 5 verses 24 to 33, the preacher, Dr. Sylvanus Ukafia of  Insight Bible Church, Uyo, enjoined the couple to love and submit themselves to one  another in the fear of God.

Speaking in appreciation on behalf of the family, the deputy governor of Akwa Ibom state, Sen. Mrs Akon Eyakenyi, appreciated God, Governor of the state, Pastor Umo Eno, the immediate past governor of the state, Chief Emmanuel Udom for being a great blessing to her family.
