The atmosphere at the Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Area headquarters was electrifying as the Executive Chairman of the council, Hon. Chief Chidi Chris Agu, alongside management and staff, received Senator Darlington Nwokeocha during his New Year outreach and appreciation visit to workers of the Local Government Area.
Addressing the large gathering of NULGE workers, Hon. Chidi Agu expressed profound gratitude to the former senator for his kind gestures and unwavering love for the workers of Osisioma Ngwa LGA, despite not currently holding any political office. He prayed that God Almighty would continue to grant Senator Nwokeocha his heart’s desires.

Speaking at the event, the member representing Isiala Ngwa North and South State Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Ginger Onwusibe, commended the workers for their immense contributions and support during the last election, noting that God Almighty knows the truth in all things.
The outspoken lawmaker also applauded the Executive Governor of Abia State, His Excellency Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, for ushering in a new order in governance and prioritizing workers’ welfare, particularly through the regular and timely payment of salaries and the clearance of salary arrears inherited from the previous administration.

In his remarks, the member representing Osisioma Ngwa South State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Fyne Ahuama, assured Senator Darlington Nwokeocha that Osisioma Ngwa LGA would not fail or disappoint him, come rain or sunshine. Describing the council workers as his constituents, he further demonstrated his appreciation by presenting them with a cash gift.
Earlier, the Chairman of NULGE, Osisioma Ngwa Chapter, Comrade Ujoh Samuel Onyekachi, thanked Senator Nwokeocha for his show of love and for remembering the workers at this time, despite not holding any official position. He assured the senator, on behalf of the workers, of their maximum support at all times.

The event was attended by the Deputy Chairman of Osisioma Ngwa LGA, Hon. Ugochukwu Victor Nwaogu; the Head of Service of the Council, Sir Israel Nwarie; Labour Party faithful, councillors, supervisors, and other government officials.
