Rotary club of Umuahia Central has honoured the member representing Ukwa Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, National Assembly Abuja, Hon. Chris Nkwonta, with a prestigious Community Service Award.

Presenting the award in Akwete Ndoki, Ukwa East Local Government Area (LGA), Abia State recently, the 38th President of Rotary club, Umuahia Central, Rtn. Glory Nneka Emuchay PHF, disclosed that Hon Nkwonta has consistently distinguished himself in humanitarian services in Ukwa, Abia and Nigeria at large through various scholarship programmes, youth empowerment, among other Human Capital Development programmes.
This, she said, informed the meritorious honour from Rotary Club, urging well-meaning Nigerians to emulate the philanthropic strides of Hon. Nkwonta in provision of major social amenities like electricity, portable water among others to the people for some decades now.
Hon. Nkwonta while receiving the award, thanked Rotary Club of Umuahia Central for recognizing his deeds in touching humanity positively as well as honouring him.
The federal legislator further reiterated his commitment to serve Ukwa Federal Constituency with every thing at his disposal.
