Rivers Women, under the umbrella of Rivers Women Unite for SIM, have applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Siminalayi Fubara, and the FCT Minister, Chief Nyesom Wike, for their roles in resolving the political crisis and restoring democratic governance in Rivers State.
In a release signed by their Media Officer, Comrade Glory N. Sunday and available to newsmen today in Port-Harcourt, the group expressed their gratitude after a special fellowship themed “Finger of God” held at the Ecumenical Centre, Port Harcourt, on Thursday, September 18, 2025.
They described the suspension of emergency rule and the reinstatement of democratic structures as a major relief for the people of Rivers State.
The women also commended Rivers citizens, civil society groups, and the media for their resilience during the political standoff, while urging forgiveness, reconciliation, and unity to consolidate peace and development.
Above all, they thanked God for what they described as divine intervention in restoring stability to the state.
