Rivers State Police Command reads riot act to IPOB

Ahead of the Nigeria’s 60th independence anniversary, the Rivers State Police command said it has made adequate deployment to ensure a problem free celebration in the State.

Spokesman of the command Nnamdi Omoni told our reporter that deployment, covers flash point on land and sea routes in the State.

” For the oncoming celebration, we have already set motion in place, to ensure that the celebration will be seamlessly carried out. Our operation order for that activities is already out” he stated.

SP Omoni further said that they are complying with the provision of the operation order. And they have captured the waterways and three communities in Ogoni land.

SP Nnamdi Omoni also warned against any plan protest by the proscribed IPOB members in the State. He said they are aware of the order made by a faceless body like IPOB. Adding that they have covered the areas of operation, and the CP has made adequate deployment to ensure that they counter them.

” Our general warning to criminals under any guise whatsoever, that wants to disrupt the celebration of October 1st, should have a second thought about it. Otherwise the full weight of the law will be on them, and they are inescapable”

The police spokesman also told our reporter that there is an ongoing raid in all criminal hide out. He said they are doing their best to deliver quality policy services to the good people of Rivers State, and there is no going back on it.

SP Omoni further said they have interfuse with the leadership of the community to ensure that they volunteer credible information that will lead to the arrest of these criminals. Adding that they are good to go as far as the celebration is concerned.
