Rivers State Governor Pledges Unwavering Support to RCCG Program

His Excellency, Governor Siminalaye Fubara of Rivers State, has assured his continuous backing for the programs of the Redeemed Christian Church of God within the state. The governor made this commitment during the Holy Ghost Rally program held at the Adokiye Ameisimaka Stadium on Sunday, January 28, 2024, in Port Harcourt. Embracing the theme of the program, “Promoted for a Purpose,” Governor Fubara shared his own story, attributing his victory to a divine purpose.

Prominent figures at the event included the APC governorship candidate, Tonye Cole, Former Anambra State Governor and LP Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi, and the Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Tammy Danagogo, among others.

Expressing gratitude to the Redeemed Christian Church of God for their prayers and support, Governor Fubara acknowledged the strength they derived from the church’s unwavering support during their tenure. Recognizing the importance of continued prayers, he appealed to the church to persist in their prayers for the government’s success in fulfilling its purpose.

The governor also extended his appreciation to Pastor E.A Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, for demonstrating immense love in Rivers State. He emphasized the foundational role of God in the state’s governance. During the program, Governor Fubara and Tonye Cole exchanged pleasantries.

In his address, the All Progressive Congress governorship candidate, Pastor Tonye Cole, expressed gratitude to God for guiding him throughout the election. He thanked God for preserving his faith, acknowledging the challenges Christians face in the political arena. Pastor Cole appreciated God for remaining steadfast even when faced with disappointments from individuals within his political circle. Particularly acknowledging the Holy Spirit for cultivating a heart free from bitterness, he recounted instances where, despite legal setbacks, he found the grace to congratulate Governor Siminalaye Fubara.
