The coordinator of the Rivers State Sanitation Marshall and Volunteers Sodin Akiagba is appealing to the Rivers State Government to call back the refuse contractors and address the problems preventing their smooth evacuation of waste.

You would recall that recently, Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA) said waste will be noticed in some parts of the city due to some challenges with some of its dump site, and some of its waste removal vehicles are faulty.

Sodin Akiagba in an interview with our reporter revealed that the agency is in damn need of more functional dump site with access to road, fund, enough trucks, with other equipment that they need to work with. He stressed the need for government to immediately call the refuse contractors and assist them with funding in order for them to clear up the environment and keep Rivers State clean.
