Rivers Govt Seeks Partnership With Ambong Energy For Youth Devt

Rivers State Government has moved to enhance Human Capital Development of youths in the state through capacity building.

This was disclosed during a facility tour of Ambong Energy Services Limited, a leading oil and gas service provider, to assess their facilities to train Rivers State youths in specialized oil and gas-related skills.

Speaking with newsmen shortly after the tour, the State Commissioner for Employment Generation and Economic Empowerment, Austin Nnadozie, said the move is to verify the accuracy of information provided about the company’s facilities, equipment, and capabilities.

Accompanied by the Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr Napoleon Akpe, the Employment Generation and Economic Empowerment Commissioner, Austin Nnadozie expressed satisfaction with the facilities and equipment he saw during the tour, and praised Ambong Company’s capabilities and their partners’ expertise.

Earlier during the tour, Ambong Energy Services Company officials led by the Managing Director, Mr John Nwosu showcased their state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, demonstrating their capability to provide top-notch training services.

The company also introduced the Commissioner to their partner companies, including Unitech Drilling, BG Technical Limited, and Sowswo Well Service (Nig) Limited, who have worked together with them to deliver training services for major oil and gas companies like Shell, Agip, and NLNG.

This potential partnership, if finalized,
is expected to enhance the employability of Rivers State youths in the oil and gas industry, aligning with the Governor Siminalayi Fubara-led administration’s commitment to creating employment opportunities and promoting economic development in the state.
