Rivers Council Boss Resolves Chieftaincy Dispute In Emago Community

In a landmark resolution aimed at restoring peace and stability, the Executive Chairman of Abua/Odual Local Government Area (LGA), Rivers, Hon. Vincent Reuben Obu, has brokered a settlement in the long-standing chieftaincy dispute within Emago community.

The epoch-making meeting, facilitated by the Hon. Vincent and Eureka administration, led to the unanimous selection of Chief Ebigoni Asuku as the six-month Caretaker Head of Emago. His appointment was endorsed by the three royal families of Eteli, Abere, and Ikpukulu.

Present at the meeting were security chiefs and key community representatives, who recognized Chief Ebigoni’s leadership as a necessary step towards fostering peace and security within the Kugbo axis, particularly in Emago.
