Revitalize Ulonna North/South Farm Settlement For Community Prosperity,Chief Uche Ogbonna Urges Ohuhu Leaders ….Advocates For Unity In Ohuhu Clan

Leaders and Stakeholders in the Ohuhu project have been urged to take the lead in revitalizing the Ulonna North and South Farm settlement for the benefit of the Ohuhu community and Abia state at large.

 

A Business mogul and Philanthropist, High Chief Uchenna Patrick Ogbonna, made the call while interacting with members of the Ohuhu Media Practitioners, in his country home,Oriendu Autonomous Community,Umuahia North LGA.

He emphasized that revitalizing the Umunna North and South farm settlement would create numerous benefits, such as enhancing local food production, boosting the economy by creating jobs, promoting sustainable agricultural practices, and improving food security in the region.

 

 

Ogbonna further noted that “the revival of the farm settlement would generate over five thousand direct and indirect jobs for Ohuhu Sons and Daughters and significantly improve the living standards of the people.

“Additionally, it could lead to increased income for farmers, improved infrastructure, and a more resilient and self-sufficient community.

 

“I therefore call on our people to champion the cause for the revitalization of this farm settlement in Ohuhu land for the greater good of our people for a more prosperous and cohesive Ohuhu clan”.

On the proposed Ohuhu Secretariat, Ogbonna regretted that the project earlier flagged off by the then first lady, Patience Jonathan, faced abandonment due to location-related issues occasioned by the perceived dichotomy between Umuhu and Okaiuga bloc.

 

Ogbonna while noting that divisions hamper the growth and development of the Ohuhu clan, called for unity among the people.

 

He stressed the importance of the spirit of “Onye ahala Nwanne ya”, and advised the Ohuhu people to support and encourage one another for communal prosperity.

Describing education as a key pillar of development,Chief Ogbonna,a graduate of Accountancy,stressed the importance of literacy in personal and community development.

 

He expressed concern over the literacy levels among Ohuhu youths, and stated his willingness to support the educational empowerment of the people through the registration of WAEC for indigents of Ohuhu extraction.

 

Chief Ogbonna urged stakeholders in the Ohuhu clan to collaboratively identify the specific needs of the community, emphasizing the significance of addressing these needs collectively, and encouraged affluent individuals in the zone to contribute towards community growth.

 

While expressing dissatisfaction with the level of development in Ohuhu land, Chief Ogbonna tasked political leaders of in Ohuhu to champion all round development of Ohuhu like the time of late Dr Michael Iheonukara Okpara.

Despite clarifying his disinterest in politics and holding political positions, Chief Ogbonna affirmed his readiness to serve the Ohuhu people in any capacity that fosters growth and development in the clan.
