He said the same way President Muhammadu Buhari appointed Prof Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA),into the Nation’s Economic Advisory Council, regardless of his party, because Prof Soludo can help in the building of the nation with his wealth of experience, that is how the Abia state Governor can also appoint anyone he feels can assist him actualise his vision, irrespective of party affiliations.

Dr Chikamnayo emphatically stated that the time for politics had gone and as a matter of fact, ‘nobody should talk about politics until 2022’, stressing that now is the time for development.

Dr Chikamnayo, however, maintained that he holds the development of the state in a high esteem and at such, he is not interested in any political discussion, stressing that those making assertions and speculations about his appointment are simply ignorant of the dynamics of development.

Recall that the recent appointments made by the Abia state governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, appointing Dr ACB Agbazuere as Chief of Staff and Dr Eze Chikamnayo as Special Adviser on Strategy and Communication, have been eliciting mixed reactions particularly from those who feel the duo shouldn’t have come up.

While some were commending the governor for his choice of the two, who they said are well grounded and experienced in political dynamics, others were of the view that the appointments should not occur especially the one of Dr Chikamnayo who they said have been making utterances and actions against the government of the day.
