Report Any Man That Beats His Wife,Women Are To Be Loved – Sir Obioma Cautioned

 

 

A knight of the Methodist Church Nigeria, Sir Ibegbulem Obioma, has advised that women should be loved and treated with respect, calling on people to report any man caught beating his wife.

This is coming on the heels of the recent death of Nigeria’s gospel singer,Osinachi Nwachukwu, who died recently on an alleged domestic violence.

Sir Obioma gave a sternly warning that nobody should spare any man caught in the act of violence against his wife, but report such men to the appropriate quarters for mental check.

In an interview with journalists in Umuahia, after receiving an Award of “Ada eji agha mba”,on behalf of his lovely wife, Lady Joy Chinonyerem Obioma(Nee Okezie),from the Ohuhu Welfare Union, Women’s Wing, Sir Obioma stated that it is absolutely not possible for a man to be beating or inflicting injuries to the person he claims to love, saying those who beats up their wives are only suffering from mental synopsis.

However, Sir Obioma,blamed Africans for the collapse of our culture, that upholds 100% respect for the men, maintaining that a neglect on the African culture,has contributed entirely to most of the challenges witnessed today in marriages.

“An African man desire total respect from their wives,but when it becomes the reverse,there is bound to be a problem.Western culture had not helped in any way.It had only made us to jettison our culture for theirs.Men on their part,should not hide any love from their wives.They should care and support their wives to the peak of their career.


Narrating how his wife bagged the award of “Ada eji agha mba”
from the biggest and most recognized association of women in Ohuhu land.Sir Obioma said the wife has distinguished herself in every area, with the help of his support.

On his part,the wife has been a pillar of support to the church and also the Ohuhu Welfare Union, holding several positions in the Church like the Steward of their local church in Lagos state, a post she held for six years , the chairperson of the Lady’s Auxillary Society, adding that the wife has headed committees like the 2021 Harvest committee and the most recent where she stood tall in an election to become the Head of the Society Steward of the church,in the midst of indigenes of the land.

“It was an honour for my wife to emerge as the Society Steward of a Methodist Church in Lagos State.

“Now to the award from the Ohuhu land, the recognition of my wife came because of how my family is being perceived.

“This family has history,there are things we do not do,we place so much value on morals.In this family, stealing of public fund is prohibited.

“Honesty, openness, uprightness and humility is our watch word.My wife came into this family, imbibed these virtues and supported in transcending them.Today, because of these virtues,she always hold leadership positions, coupled with the fact that she is sociable.She has gained so much trust across board, up to the point of being a signatory to my account and she has not abused that privilege for once”, he said

He added that the wife has a good leadership skill,that helps her to coordinate and mobilize women to achieve a common good seemlessly.

According to Sir Obioma, Lady Joy Obioma is a good family woman,that would not relent in making contributions to facelift her family members,as well as others.

“My wife with my assistance and encouragement trained all her siblings and they are all doing well.She is big asset to Ohuhu land.

Sir Obioma further urged men to treat their wives with love and respect so that they can turn out to be assets to the society.
