The member, representing Ukwa East/West Federal Constituency and Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Climate Change, Hon. Chris Nkwonta has commended the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti regarding the historic ground breaking ceremony of the proposed Abia Innovation Industrial Park Project at Owaza, Ukwa West LGA of Abia State.

Hon. Nkwonta and his Colleagues accompanied the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu to the Ceremony at Owaza on Saturday, September 30, 2023.
A statement from his Media and Public Communications Adviser, Dr. Chidi Nwankpa disclosed that Nkwonta expressed optimism in the capacity of the Governor and his Team to accomplish the laudable Project as promised.
He further stated that the Project, when accomplished; will certainly lead to sustainable growth, development and industrialization of the area, thereby; placing Ukwa Land strategically on the competitiveness index of industrialized cities in Nigeria and indeed Africa.
Hon. Nkwonta promised to work assiduously and diligently with the Deputy Speaker and his Colleagues through legislative interventions aimed at supporting Abia State government in the actualization of the Project.
