Rep Aguocha Hails Gov Otti for Appointing Prof Ogbonna as Abia Assembly Clears Him

Representative of Umuahia/Ikwuano Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Chief Obi Aguocha has described Abia Internal Revenue Service’s Executive Chairman designate, Prof. Udo Godfrey Ogbonna an expert in the field fit for the job.

Aguocha who made this known on Tuesday, at the hallowed Chambers of the Abia State House of Assembly shortly after the State lawmakers screened and confirmed Prof. Ogbonna as the Executive Chairman designate for the Internal Revenue Services of the State following his nomination by the Governor, Dr. Alex Otti.

The Federal lawmaker whose election victory to represent Umuahia North, Umuahia South and Ikwuano federal Constituency was currently upheld by the Tribunal Court hailed Governor Otti for chosen Prof. Udo Ogbonna to man the revenue sector of the State adding that his appointment was deserving and affirmed that his ally will not disappoint the Governor and Abians in general at his place of service.

He therefore urged Abians to support Governor Otti’s administration as the change they had clamored for has finally come through the victory of Dr. Otti at the just concluded general polls.

Earlier in the plenary, the Abia State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt.Hon. Emmanuel Emeruwa, reminded Prof. Udo Ogbonna of the enormity of his job and the expectations of the Governor and Abians in transforming the Abia economy and charged him to ensure he aligns his vision with that of his principal, Governor Otti to serve Abians better.

The Speaker therefore mandated the clerk of the Assembly to officially communicate the Governor, Dr. Alex Otti of their confirmation of Prof. Udo Ogbonna as the Executive Chairman designate for the Abia Internal Revenue Services.
