Abia-born businessman and philanthropist, Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso (OFUJI Global), has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the reelection of Governor Alex Chioma Otti, declaring that the continuity of the governor’s transformational leadership in Abia State is far more important than any personal political ambition.
In a statement issued by his Media Aide, Mr. Gabriel Aguwa Paul and made available to newsmen today, Dr. Anyaso described recent insinuations questioning his loyalty as misleading, politically motivated, and designed to distract from the growing momentum behind the #OttiAgain2027 movement.
According to him, the reelection of Governor Otti remains his foremost political priority, stressing that sustaining the reforms and developmental strides already recorded in Abia State under the present administration must take precedence over individual aspirations.
“The reelection of Governor Alex Chioma Otti is superior to my personal ambition,” Dr. Anyaso stated.
He noted that the progress recorded in less than three years of Governor Otti’s administration has restored hope in governance and placed Abia State on a clear path toward sustainable development. Ensuring the continuation of these reforms across every part of the state, he emphasized, remains the only objective that currently matters to him.
The statement also dismissed attempts by certain interests to derail his focus on mobilizing support for the governor’s second term, insisting that such efforts have failed.
“Those attempting to derail Dr. Anyaso from giving sustained focus to the #OttiAgain2027 campaign have failed woefully,” the stated added.
According to the statement; the people of Abia are well aware of his longstanding support for Governor Otti.
It recalled that as far back as 2015, when Governor Otti first contested the governorship, Dr. Anyaso stepped away from his thriving business engagements to actively campaign for him.
“At that time, many of those who today question his loyalty were still searching for political direction and were nowhere near the struggle for the progressive leadership Abia State now enjoys,” the statement added.
The Release further emphasized that from Governor Otti’s first governorship contest to the present day, Dr. Anyaso has consistently worked to strengthen and advance the governor’s electoral prospects.
The statement maintained that Dr. Anyaso’s political engagements and philanthropic initiatives through his foundations have always aligned with the broader vision of promoting good governance, accountability, and development in Abia State.
The Chairman/CEO, Caades Group, therefore urged political actors and commentators to avoid narratives capable of creating unnecessary distractions at a time when the state must remain focused on consolidating the gains already achieved.
He reaffirmed his commitment to mobilizing grassroots and stakeholder support across the state to ensure Governor Otti’s successful reelection.
“This is not about personal ambition; it is about the future of Abia State. The reforms, infrastructural renewal, and governance transformation initiated by Governor Otti must continue uninterrupted,” he noted.
Dr. Anyaso reiterated that he remains fully committed to working with well-meaning Abians to secure a renewed mandate that will enable Governor Otti to sustain the progress already visible across the state.
