Rector Applauds Otti’s Choice Of Dr Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic For Export Growth Lab, Eyes Global Partnerships

 

The Rector, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic, Aba, Dr. Christopher Okoro, has commended Governor Alex Otti for selecting the institution as the site for the Abia State Export Growth Lab noting that it is boost for Technology and Research.

 

Dr. Okoro made the remark while reacting to a recent facility tour conducted by a delegation from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), during which they inspected the ongoing setup of the Export Growth Lab.

 


He noted that the decision to establish the lab at the Polytechnic was well thought out, given its technological foundation and strategic location in Aba, the commercial hub of the State.

 

The choice of this institution is simply the best because it is a technological hub, given its status as a Polytechnic, and it is centrally located in Aba. We also have the necessary manpower, particularly in research”, Dr. Okoro stated.

The Rector emphasized that the visit by the UNDP team highlights the Otti-led administration’s commitment to fostering collaboration with international development partners to drive the State’s economic and technological advancement.

 

The UNDP is one of the key international organizations we look forward to partnering with, and we expect more development partners to engage with the state”, he added.

 

Dr. Okoro further reaffirmed the Institution’s openness to partnerships with other educational and research bodies to enhance teaching, learning, and project implementation.

 

 

He credited the numerous achievements recorded under his leadership to the support, visionary ideas, and innovative policies of Governor Alex Otti.
