Reconciliation between Amaechi, Wike meets stumbling block

The reconciliation move between governor Nyesom Wike and the Minister Of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi may have suffered a setback.
This is after they traded words over some of the unresolved issues between them.

Transportation Minister had gone on live television programme to among other issues blamed governor Nyesom Wike over the security situations in the state.

Meanwhile, a public affairs analyst Richard Nwokocha has advised governor Nyesom Wike and the Minister Of Transportation Chibuike Amaechi to exercise civility in their comments to avoid degenerating the peace move they have initiated. Professor Nwokocha who is also a lecturer at the Rivers State University said it is expected of the two leaders to promote peace in the state.

He further advised the governor to ignore comments from the Minister Of Transportation as a show of maturity. While blaming the Minister Of Transportation for speaking against the governor after announcing his commitment to peace in the state.

” it was very wrong of the Minister who said he was pursuing peace in the state to blame the governor over the present security situations in the state. But I think the governor should not follow him. They should show maturity and commitment for pursuing the peace that is desired. So that it will help their followers to shun all form of attack, verbal and non verbal” he stated.

In the same vain, a youth leader in Rivers state Bright Abali says both governor Nyesom Wike and the Minister Of Transportation Chibuike Amaechi have till May 29 to demonstrate their sincerity in the ongoing reconciliation move. Mr Abali who is the president of the Ethnic Youth Leader Council urged governor Nyesom Wike to invite Mr Amaechi for his second time inauguration on May 29.
He also called on the Minister Of Transportation to visit Rivers state and pay a surprise visit to either Government House or State function.
