Reach and Touch Charity Initiative donates food items to Special Education Centre for Deaf and Mentally Challenged

Reach and Touch Charity Initiative, a Non Governmental Organization has donated food items to Special Education Centre for the Deaf and Mentally Challenged in World Bank Housing Estate Umuahia, Abia State.

The NGO, which is founded and sponsored by Chinwe Ogbonne Omoregie, a Lawyer since September 2021, made the donation during its sustained philanthropic and and empowerment programs.

During the outreach at Special Education Centre for the Deaf and Mentally Challenged at World Bank Housing Estate, cartons of Biscuits, drinks and other items were distributed to the pupils and their teachers.

Speaking with Journalists about what motivated her to help the needy, the sponsor of the Empowerment /Philanthropic Outreaches, *Barrister Chinwe Ogbonne Omoregie* said she was worried about the stigmatization that families with children with special needs face in the society.

“Most parents don’t understand the circumstances their children are going through. Part of the idea is to enlighten the parents.

She said that The Lord instructed her to set up the charity to assist families with children with special needs.

On how frequently the program is carried out, she said that the outreach is carried out in schools to schools to distribute biscuits and drinks and other items to the children and their teachers.

“Every month, we have an outreach where we give monetary gifts to the chosen families amongst so many other families but we make sure it goes round and we’re planning on embarking on full *Education Scholarship* .

She promised to sustain her crusade for the well-being of children with special needs.
*Barrister Chinwe Ogbonne Omoregie* who is married and blessed with two boys, also has 2 sisters and 1 brother doing great in their respective callings.

She lost her father in 2022 but her mother is still strong and healthy which situation wanted to pull her attention back but she vowed to continue the kind gesture and upliftment livelihood of humanity.
