Rampant Vandalism and Theft of School Facilities Alarms Authorities in Rivers State

In a disheartening trend, numerous schools in Rivers State, including government-owned ones, are falling victim to wanton vandalism and theft of facilities by bandits. According to a concerned principal from a unity school, many schools in the state have had their facilities destroyed by radicalized pupils or students. Some primary schools, which received computers from former Governor Rotimi Amaechi’s distribution program, are unable to account for them, suggesting that they were either stolen by criminals or vandalized by students due to a lack of adequate protection.
