One of the frontline contenders for the sole of Peoples Democratic Party governorship ticket in Abia State and a Man that has a date with destiny Professor Uche Ikonne, has purchased his expression of interest form nomination.
Prof Ikonne, Was Accompanied By A Galaxy Of Abia PDP Leaders, Rt Honourables C O Enweremadu, Barr Chinedum Elechi and Dr Cosmos Ndukwe, Chief Raymond Aliga, Rev Arc Benson Ezem, Elder John Nwangborogbu, Chief Tony Ezebuiro, Chinanu Ogbunamiri, Chiefs Samuel Chile, Chimezie Okoronkwo, Dan Okoli, Ifeanyi Isikaku, Chief Solomon Wigwe, Sir Don Ubani and many others.
In his speech after he obtained the expression of interest form at Wadata Plaza, Abuja Ikonne stated that he was absolutely delighted to be privileged to indicate interest to serve the people of Abia State in the capacity of Governor.
Ikonne assured that under his watch as Governor, Abia State that is, so far, known for her peaceful disposition under Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, will continue to witness effective governance.
He said he will anchor his faith in God Almighty and expressed optimism that it will certainly end in praise.
Professor Uche Ikonne, an Academia got to the pinnacle of his career as Vice Chancellor of Abia State University, Uturu where he made remarkable achievements.
