‘I am the most qualified for PDP national chair’

The Chairman of Daar Communications, Chief Raymond Dokpesi has expressed confidence that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will oust the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) from power in the 2019 elections.

Speaking during his campaign visit to the PDP secretariat in Ondo State, Dokpesi, who is also an aspirant form PDP National Chairman from the South South said he is sure of plans to defeat the APC if elected.

He said the ruling APC had brought alarming division to every part of the country with its policies and programmes in the last two and half years.

The Edo State politician claimed to be the most qualified for the National Chairman of the party, hinging this on his wealth of experience and contributions to the development of the PDP.Said he, “I believe in the PDP and we are going to come to power in 2019. Our youths must be engaged, our women must be empowered and also those who have left the party should return.”

Dokpesi boasted of having the qualities and the capacity to lead the party to victory, saying, “I will bring together the North and the South for the PDP to regain power in 2019 because we want a paradigm shift. The power to elect must be returned to the people and also the interest of the electorate would be mu utmost priority as chairman.”

While soliciting for votes from the delegates ahead of the convention, he promised to bring all members together and secure victory for the party in the 2019 general elections.He said, “I am therefore, pleading with the delegates in Ondo State to give me the chance to become the National Chairman of the party.”

He further said restructuring of the country was the only way Nigeria can survive its present social, economic and political challenges.

The chairman of the party in the state, Mr. Clement Faboyede, lauded Dopkesi for his efforts and roles in building the party, noting that PDP was the only party in the country that cares for the masses. Faboyede, who reaffirmed that APC had meted untold hardship on the people, wished the aspirant success and passed a vote of confidence on his capacity to lead the party.
