Qatar 2022: Wounded Teranga Lions Confront Hosts

After losing 2-0 to the Orange Gang of Netherlands, the Teranga Lions of Senegal will this afternoon take on the host, Qatar, who also lost their opening match to Ecuador by the same margin.
A loss for either side means not going beyond the group stages of this World Cup.
Senegal coach Aliou Cisse said he is sticking to his first choice goalkeeper, Edouard Mendy despite his role in his team’s loss to the Netherlands.
Qatar has never defeated an African side at home. They have lost twice to Algeria and drew with the Pharaohs of Egypt.
The group’s other match will see Netherlands take on Ecuador. Round of 16 ticket awaits the winner of this encounter.
