Qatar 2022 World Cup Qualifiers: Nigeria Beat Liberia

The Super Eagles of Nigeria, this evening, defeated the Lone Stars of Liberia 0-2 to further brighten their chances of qualifying for the third and final round of qualifiers.

Victor Osimhen and Ahmed Musa converted a penalty in each half respectively to take Nigeria to 12 points, two ahead of Cape Verde Island who defeated the Central African Republic 2-1.

The Super Eagles will take on the Islanders on Tuesday and need only a point to qualify for the last round of qualifiers.

Meanwhile, Liberia and Central African Republic with only three and four points respectively are eliminated.

The Eagles of Mali, Pharaohs of Egypt, Terenga Lions of Senegal and  Atlas Lions of Morocco have all qualified for the third and final rounds of qualifiers.
