World football governing body FIFA has announced that they will review the Ghana versus South Africa encounter in which The Black Stars defeated the Bafana Bafana through a controversial penalty.
South Africa needed just a draw to qualify for the play-offs while Ghana needed an outright victory.
Ghana thus qualified at the expense of South Africa, who petitioned FIFA and CAF.
Recall that a 2018 World Cup qualifier between Senegal and South Africa was replayed and the South Africans are hoping that the same decision will be made by FIFA again.
