The Permanent Secretary, Government House Umuahia, Elder Bernard Ogbonna has urged the people to ensure they collect their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) saying that the PVC remains the greatest weapon for the needed positive change in the Nigeria politics.
Elder Ogbonna made the call while receving a delegation of the National Working Committee, Atiku Royal Blue Vanguard who called on him at Government House Umuahia.
He said that all hands must be on deck to ensure the PDP Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and all PDP candidates in the forthcoming elections scale through and assured the organization that he would do his best to deliver on the expections on him.
Elder Ogbonna noted that Nigeria is faced by myriads of challenges including insecurity, unprecedented unemployment, hunger and starvation, stressed the need to have a new governnent at the federal level, and maintained that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar poseses the capacity of taking the country to her proper place.
He called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to be impartial in the conduct of the forthcoming elections and ensure that the elections are free and fair to sustain the Nigeria’s democracy.
Ogbonna also called on Abia people to support the second term bid of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, assuring that his second tenure would witness massive employment opportunities for the youths through the realization of the Enyimba Economic City and the Ntigha Dry Port among others.
Earlier in their speeches, the Committee Chairman, National Working Committee Atiku Royal Blue Vanguard, Evangelist Basil Ezinma, Secretary of the organization, Comrade Ugochukwu Ogwo and Woman leader, Deaconess Chinenye Obasi said they came to officially honour and confer on Elder Bernard Ogbonna the Leader of the organization.
They explained that the organization was instituted to go round the States to monitor the activities and campaigns that are geared towards achieving victory for Alhaji Abubakar, Governor Ikpeazu and other PDP candidates.
