The Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi kalu, has charged the newly elected executive of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR),Abia state chapter, to always put the state first in everything that they do.
Chief okiyi who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information, Elder Ifeanyi Agbai, said the new executives should make Abia their priority and pursue any cause that could bring development.
In his address, the President of the Institute, Mallam Mukhtar Sirajo, stated that we should not allow politics divide our country, rather pursue unity, since we can achieve more together.
Mukhtar further said that we owe upcoming generations solid foundation, therefore,all hands must be on deck to protect Nigeria.
Earlier in his remarks, the Immediate past chairman of Abia NIPR, Mr Princely Ngunu, thanked his colleagues for finding him worthy to serve,stating that his tenure was inspiring, exceptional and educative.
The newly elected chairman of Abia NIPR,Mr Anyaso O. Anyaso in his acceptance speech, promised to take the institute in Abia to greater heights, calling for unalloyed support from his colleagues.
The event further featured award presentation to deserving individuals who have contributed to the growth of the institute.
