Professor Uchenna Ikonne, the Governorship flagbearer of PDP, who I admire so much for his simplicity, open-door policy and close affinity with his people, has shown his readiness to fast-track development in Abia come 2023 and has promised to be prudent and transparent in the management of state resources when elected. This is ideal for good governance.
The emergence of Prof. Ikonne as governor in 2023 will make Abia State to witness rapid Infrastructural development, human capacity development, a boost in Agriculture and a paradigm shift in our education and SMEs. He will surpass the expectations of those who do not believe in his candidature. Right now, the acceptance and support he enjoys from various sections of the state have remained unbeatable, which is an indication that come 2023, his journey to Abia State Government House will be a smooth ride.
His administrative experience and prudent management of state owned institutions will remain a catalyst in his provision of critical infrastructures: rural development, qualitative and affordable education, health care delivery, innovative and robust investment drive, agricultural revolution, peace and security and economic growth in the state, when elected governor of God’s Own State come 2023.
Governor Ikpeazu’s investment in infrastructure has increased economic activities in the state. The peace and security existing in the state has remained the key factor that enabled such growth. Notwithstanding the economic downturn biting hard across board, Ikpeazu has remained firm in changing the living condition of Abians through his rapid infrastructural development and empowerment programmes across the state. Professor Uchenna Ikonne, a scholar with a difference has promised to build on this solid foundation laid down by the Gov. Ikpeazu-led administration.
Ikonne understands that SMEs are pivotal to the economic growth and development of the state. For him, he has mapped out plans that will provide adequate innovative marketing, financial and management skill, good policies that will enable businesses to thrive in the state.
Finally, Abians need a leader who has shown himself approved, with the right experience, competent, capable, courageous, disciplined, creative, intelligent and trustworthy to put the state on a fast lane of both infrastructural, economic and social development and we have no other person than Prof. Uchenna Ikonne, he remains the best man for the job.
