PRO-Fubara Group Inaugurates LGA, Student Wing Coordinators

The Enforcers for Good Governance, a prominent advocacy group in Rivers State, has today inaugurated coordinators for its 23 Local Government Areas and Students Wing, aiming to strengthen grassroots engagement and oversight.

Enforcers For Good Governance is dedicated to creating platforms for youth to achieve their dreams while ensuring that elected officials are held accountable for their actions. In his inaugural address, Hon. Kingsley Ogu, the group’s Convener and National Leader, emphasized the importance of unity in achieving the group’s collective goals.

Ogu highlighted the group’s full support for Governor Siminalayi Fubara, praising the alignment of the governor’s policies with the group’s objectives. He urged the new coordinators to be exemplary ambassadors, working diligently to promote good governance for the benefit of all Rivers people.

Guest speaker Prof. Ugochukwu Agi commended the group for its significant achievements. He encouraged members to embrace leadership roles within their local governments and institutions, advocating for responsible citizenship and political involvement over disruptive behavior.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Students Affairs, Hon. Soye Maxwell, represented by former NURSS National President Mr. Patrick Ogbuehi, congratulated the group for its unwavering dedication. He lauded Governor Fubara’s student-friendly initiatives, including providing new buses to the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Zone B and the National Union of Rivers State Students, as well as promising to pay bursaries for Rivers State students in higher education.

The event culminated in the inauguration and administration of the oath of office to the coordinators, marking a pivotal moment in the group’s mission to foster accountability and empower youth throughout Rivers State.
